Overview
File Brook Line Co., Ltd. provides in-person verification and documentation services. This policy explains when fees may be refunded, rescheduled, or retained.
Full refunds
You receive a full refund if:
- We cancel your appointment due to technician illness or office closure
- You cancel with at least 48 hours’ written notice before the scheduled session
- We are unable to deliver the booked service due to our error
Refunds are processed to the original bank transfer account within 14 business days.
Partial refunds
A 50% refund applies if you cancel between 24 and 48 hours before the session. This covers binder preparation and schedule blocking.
Non-refundable items
The following are not refundable:
- Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice (full fee retained)
- No-shows without prior contact
- Sessions where work has commenced — including device inventory, witnessed unlock, or binder updates
- Purchased binder materials and engraved backup plates once produced
- Annual retainer months in which at least one scheduled visit was completed
Rescheduling
One free reschedule per appointment is available with 48 hours’ notice. Additional reschedules within the same billing period may incur a ₩50,000 administrative fee.
Deposits
Inheritance handover planning and full-day engagements require a 30% deposit at booking. Deposits are refundable if you cancel with 7 days’ notice before the session date. Deposits are applied to the final invoice when the session proceeds.
Retainer refunds
Unused quarterly visits on an annual retainer may be refunded at the per-visit rate minus a 10% administrative fee if requested before the third scheduled quarter. No retainer refunds are available after three visits in a calendar year.
Work already started
If a session begins and you choose to stop — for example, discomfort during passphrase entry — fees for time already spent (minimum one hour) are retained. Remaining booked time may be rescheduled once without additional charge.
How to request a refund
Email contact@filebrookline.click with your name, appointment date, and reason. We confirm eligibility within three business days and process approved refunds within 14 business days.
